Hi there!
Ever felt like your head would explode if you looked at one more paint chip ? Are you swimming in a sea of questions about the right tile, the right floor, the right colour, the right art…with nary an answer in sight?
My name is Karen and I love nothing better than helping people with their colour and design dilemmas! I have always been passionate about design...particularly colour. For me, it’s about more than putting elements together to create the perfect design. For me…it’s about a feeling. How do you want people to feel when they are in this space? It’s also about authenticity…being real. It’s my job to know what’s trending in the design world and I find that fascinating and fun! When it comes to helping people create beautiful spaces in their homes though, it’s most important to me that the space reflects the needs and personalities of the people who live there.
I started out working for a Benjamin Moore paint store where I learned a lot about colour and paint and how stressful it can be for people when they are trying to put together a colour and design plan for their homes. It can be overwhelming for sure!! I loved helping people work through some of their colour and design dilemmas and continued to broaden my knowledge, eventually becoming a True Colour Expert™, with internationally renowned colour guru, Maria Killam. Today, I continue to expand my learning in colour and design …there is always something new to learn!
